In Quechua, “Samyay” means inhale, reset, and restore and “Yana” means dark. About the founder of our darkness and silence retreat

I am Kamel, a somatic therapist, breathwork facilitator, and guide in spaces dedicated to inner transformation.
My approach is the result of many years of exploring the breath, integrating trauma, working with sound, and studying indigenous spiritual traditions. What I share today does not come from theoretical knowledge, but from lived experience—felt and embodied.
I founded YanaSamyay and created the Darkness and Silence Retreat to offer a space for deep reconnection. My role is not to ‘fix’ anyone, but to hold a safe space that allows each person to remember their true nature, beyond stories, expectations, and conditioning.
